In the ocean whales and dolphins live in large groups called pods which helps them maintain family bonds. The ocean is endless for these animals. They swim hundreds of miles every day. In captivity, dolphins and whales are limited to very small pods. In their tank, they are unable to swim free for miles. They can only take a few short strokes because of the limited space. Not being able to life in their natural environment can cause skin diseases and the collapse of the dorsal fin. Therefore, holding these animals captive is inhumane.
